Information on the Go-Paddle Events Calendar
Within the UK, during any week, there are numerous paddlesport events occurring across the country. These events are currently advertised in discipline yearbooks and on discipline specific websites. Go-Paddle would like to bring all these calendars together onto one site so that paddlers and the general public can view all upcoming events at a single location. To achieve this, Go-Paddle has invested in Thyme, a multi-functional online events calendar. Now we need paddlers, clubs and organisations to add their events.

The main features of our calendar system are:
  • It supports multiple calendars. This enables a wide range of organisation to control their own calendars whilst receiving maximum exposure for their events.
  • Access to all calendars is controlled by a log-in system. This enables the calendar owner to set permissions for viewing and adding events.
  • Any calendar can be embedded into any website.
  • An upcoming events module is available that displays events in the future, this can also be embedded into any website.
Go-Paddle would like to encourage:
  • All competitive disciplines to set up a calendar, thus providing an instant view of all the paddlesport competitions occurring across the country at any time.
  • Canoe clubs to set up a calendar. You can easily embedd the calendar into your existing sites and your presence on go-paddle will help publicise your events and attract new members.
  • Retailers and manufacturers to set up a calendar. Do you host demo days, have you got a sale on? Let the paddlesport community know by adding these events to your personal calendar.
  • Artificial courses to set up a calendar. It would be great if you posted release dates and events on a Go-Paddle calendar. Paddlers would then have instant access to all water releases throughout the country and would no longer need to hassle you with all those annoying phone calls asking if the water is releasing.
Further Details
To add a calendar you must first go to the Go-Paddle login page and create an account.

Then, email Go-Paddle, stating your calendar title and a brief description of the organisation or events that your calendar will be used for. Go-Paddle will then set up your calendar and will provide assistance with configuring your calendar and adding some events.
