I write to you to ask for you to back us in an event to help raise monies on behalf of breast cancer research UK, and is designed to raise awareness of breast cancer.
The reason I am planning this event is because when my wife was 16 years old, she lost her mother, who was only 42 to breast cancer and at the age of 42 my wife also was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She undertook a Lumpectomy followed by 6 months of chemo and also a double Mastectomy and reconstruction.
I need your support to help with this charity event for August 2009,for a Team of 12 to 15 to canoe Lake Windermere, over 7 days to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. I need your help to help us promote this event and the web site.
It is hoped to cover the distance of the length of the UK to help raise funds for the above, and that’s from Land's End at the southeastern tip of England, on an 874-mile to John O'Groats in Scotland, on Lake Windermere. Our aim is to raise £10,000 pounds..and to raise awareness of breast cancer thoughout the UK.
